三溪镇在广东省韶关市乐昌市的西北部，南、西、北三面与湖南省宜章县的乡镇交界，东面与坪石镇相接[1]。全镇辖8个行政村[3]，是一个以农业为主的山区镇[1]。镇名得自武江：河水在境内弯来拐去，河道呈“之”字形，从高处望去像三条溪流[1][2]。1964年设三溪公社，1987年改为镇[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所录沿革，南宋时这一带属乳源县崇信乡积善里，明清时属韶州府乳源县龙浦都积善里；民国时分属乳源县第五区的龙阳乡和石溪乡[2]。进入1950年，辖地仍在乳源县，编入第四区龙阳乡；1952年3月之后改隶乐昌县第五区[2]。

三溪原先是坪石公社的一部分（1958年），到1964年4月才单独建社，称三溪公社；其后体制两次变动：1983年11月公社改为区，1987年1月区又改为镇[2]。

地方文章记述，约四百多年前，邝、罗等姓从江西、湖南迁来定居，清末形成墟市；聚落沿武江两岸伸展，平面呈H字形[4]。

地理环境[edit]

镇域位于乐昌市西北部，东邻坪石镇，南、西、北均是湖南宜章县地界，所接乡镇包括粟源、岩泉、梅田、城南；到乐昌城区的公路里程约130公里[1]。镇域总面积113.3平方千米，山岭面积12.9万亩，另有耕地8601亩，其中水田占7475亩[1]。

境内为丘陵盆地，红色砂页岩风化强烈，丘陵呈“海星”状；武江在其间曲折穿行，在境内长达25公里，站在三溪墟后山的车马坳顶向东北俯视，状如三条溪水，“三溪”之名由此而来[1]。

概况中提到的水电站共3座：镇办的2座合计装机2460千瓦，引入外资的1座为1890千瓦；矿藏里煤和锰较多[1]。河滩上的卵石中有一类靛蓝色带白纹的，被称作“三溪石”；境内还生长一种主干上圆下方的“四方竹”，当地人说它离开本地山水便长不好[4]。

镇概况称，三溪镇以农业为主；水利是长期的投入：已建成各类水利工程200多宗，装有抽水机45台，据称八成水田遇旱遇涝都有收成[1][4]。2021年9月广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批省级“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村名单中，辖内的石村村以脐橙入选[5]。居民有养蚕的技术[4]。

地方文章称三溪以“花鼓戏之乡”闻名，民间文艺有舞狮、舞龙、八音和山歌，其中青蛙狮表演别具一格[4]。何万杰（1912－1966），三溪人，11岁学戏，后来做了乐昌花鼓戏的师傅，演丑角、彩旦，十九岁就在粤湘边界一带出了名，二十九岁起去湖南宜章、临武等地收徒授艺[2]。
