历史沿革[edit]

此地1951年设方牧乡，1957年3月方牧乡改称沙田乡，1959年成立沙田大队。1962年6月大队更名为咸水大队，次年1月又恢复沙田大队的名称；1983年12月设沙田乡人民政府，1986年12月设沙田村民委员会，1987年1月起称咸水村民委员会，1990年3月改为咸水管理区，1998年复设咸水村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，咸水村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
