北区社区隶属新丰县丰城街道，位于县城中心区，名称来自丰城镇北区行政社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

北区社区因曾是丰城镇的北区行政社区而得名。明清时属长宁县长宁城，民国时属新丰县第一区，新中国成立后属第一区；1982年归丰郊公社，1986年归新丰县丰城镇，2002年起为北区行政社区。[1]

2019年9月，北区社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」。[1]
