历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，英明在建国初期为英明乡，1958年改称英明大队，1983年设乡政府，1986年改为村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年恢复村委会之名，沿用至今。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载的村情材料（未注明年份），全村361户2080人，耕地2300亩，其中水田2000亩、旱地300亩；收入主要来自劳务输出，以及荷兰豆等反季节蔬菜、水稻和烤烟种植。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，英明村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年8月，入选广东省首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（番薯干）。[1]
