下营村是黄坑镇的行政村，武深高速黄坑镇的出口就设在村内。[2] 相传有朝廷官员罢官后到此居住，村起初叫“下野村”，后改作“下营”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国后称下营乡，1958年为下营大队，1984年复称乡；1986年起改称村委会，1989年一度称管理区，1998年撤区恢复为村委会，名称未变。[1]

经济[edit]

2020年8月，下营村（贡柑）列入广东省农业农村厅首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村名单。[1]
