古竹村是黄坑镇下辖的行政村。村名据称出自当地多苦竹，方言里“苦”“古”音近。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国后为古竹乡，1958年改古竹大队，1984年复称乡；1986年起改称村委会，1989年一度称管理区，1998年撤区恢复为村委会，名称未变。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，古竹村名列2018年度广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位。[1]
