米埗村位于广州市从化区北部山区，隶属良口镇，辖18个经济社；据博雅地名网载，总人口约3088人。博雅地名网写作“米埔村”，地名志的历史沿革写作“米埗”。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

旧时这里临流溪河，是水路上的埗头（码头），各地产的米粮在此集中外运，因称米埗。[1]1958年设米埗大队；1983年12月与高沙、塘料合并为米埗乡，1987年1月分出，改设米埗村民委员会。[1]

地理与经济[edit]

全村面积约10平方千米，村委会距从化城区约21公里，距105国道相邻。米埗村是良口镇南面的入口，从都国际会议中心、华熙温泉酒店设在村内，为配合温泉养生谷建设，大部分村民已迁到碧水新村居住；留在原地的5个经济社约800人，从事种养业或外出务工。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年11月认定为「2024年广州市高质量就业社区（村）」；2023年11月入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」；2023年5月获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」；2022年1月确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2019年9月列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
