梅山社区原属黄阁镇，2023年12月28日划入南沙街道。[1] 社区名称取自辖区内原有的梅山工业区。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区居民委员会设立于2017年。[2] 2023年12月28日，梅山社区与凤凰社区、亭角村、东湾村、坦尾村、蕉门村一并由黄阁镇划入南沙街道。[1] 2024年11月，社区被认定为广州市充分就业社区。[2]
