西新社区是广州市南沙区珠江街道辖下的社区，东起灵新公路四至六涌路段的新广六路，南面止于六涌河中心线，北面止于四涌河中心线，西与万顷沙镇交界，土地面积约2.54平方千米。[1] 社区位于灵新公路和新广六路以西，故取“西新”为名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，辖区由东莞明伦堂示范农场管辖，1949年后属珠江华侨农场、珠江管理区的辖地，位于华侨农场中心区的西面。2009年，西新社区居民委员会在珠江街道下成立。[1]

人口[edit]

据博雅地名网转载的社区介绍，辖区常住户口435户，常住人口1602人，另有外来人员约3000人（统计年份未注明）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2021年11月获「广州市2021年绿色社区」认定；2024年11月获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」；2025年9月进入「2025—2026年全国示范性老年友好型社区创建名单」。[1]
