紫坭村是广州市番禺区沙湾街道下辖的行政村，位于沙湾西南部，宝墨园和南粤苑都在村内，2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]村名有两种说法，一说村中小山的泥土多呈紫红色，一说村里曾出过一位探花，获赐紫袍玉带和土地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，紫坭是沙湾司属的村；清康熙二十五年（1686年）为沙湾司属的堡；清末至民国属九如乡。1957年前属沙湾乡，1958年称「番禺人民公社沙湾团第四营第一连」，1959年3月称沙湾人民公社紫坭大队，1984年称沙湾区紫坭乡，1987年起为紫坭村民委员会。[1]

县志（同治版、民国版）多用「紫泥」，民国后逐渐改写为「紫坭」。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村域面积2.66平方千米，下辖15个村民小组，总人口2600人。博雅地名网引用的村情称，村里农业用地1780亩，主要种养花卉和塘鱼，有工业企业57间；旅游以宝墨园和南粤苑景区为主。[1]

2021年番禺年鉴载：紫坭村入选「广东省第二批文化和旅游特色村」；村里把广东国营紫坭糖厂改建为紫泥堂文化创意园，园内设有糖厂历史工业遗址博物馆和非遗展馆，每年举办「鲁班先师诞」等民俗活动。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

宝墨园建于清末，二十世纪五十年代被毁，1995年重建，占地由五亩扩至一百多亩，集清宫文化、岭南古建筑和园林艺术于一体。南粤苑在大川岗，东临紫坭河，南接宝墨园，占地一百多亩。[1][3]

荣誉[edit]

紫坭村2021年和2022年两次列入淘宝村名单，2022年1月被列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位，2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
