石井社区属广州市白云区，是石井街道辖下的一个居民委员会辖区，居委会设在石井墟桥头直街61号，社区位于街道的主城区。[1]社区的前身是1987年成立的石井镇居民委员会，2002年撤镇建街后改称石井社区居民委员会。[1]社区以石井墟得名，据说陆胤主持设计过一口石基石栏的大井，水质好，居民来取水时常顺带摆摊交换物品，井边就逐渐形成了圩市。[1]社区内及附近有石井桥、义勇祠和广州昇平社学旧址。[1]社区获评「广州市2021年绿色社区」（2021年11月），入选「2025年广州市充分就业社区（村）」名单（2026年1月），并在2019年9月列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
