京溪街道是广州市白云区东南部的一个街道，位于白云山东麓，原名黄猄塘。辖区自同和镇分出，于2001年7月设街道办事处，现有16个社区。[1][2]

东面与天河区元岗街道相接，南邻天河区兴华街道，西面是同和街道境内的白云山风景区，北面也与同和街道相连。[1] 面积约5.51平方千米；南方医科大学和南方医院、地铁3号线北延段都在辖区内。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

京溪这个名字的由来，是民国年间在此立起的一座牌坊，石上刻有「京溪古道」四字；此前这里叫黄猄塘，后来改称京溪。[1][3] 京溪原是同和镇的一个村名，古道在京溪村，是旧时的交通要道，据说唐代开科取士以后，进京赶考的学子必由此经过。[1][3]

同和镇在2001年7月撤销，京溪村一带分出来，沿用村名设立了京溪街道办事处。[1][3] 此后街道下设的居委会陆续由村改居而来，如白灰场社区2001年7月成立居委会，东圣社区则由东兴、圣地两个居委会在2005年合并而成。[5][6]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于白云山东麓，辖区内有林地约773亩。[3] 气候属亚热带季风气候。[1] 南北向的主干道有广州大道北、沙太路，东西向的有京溪路、怡新路。[3]

人口民族[edit]

按2020年末的数字，常住人口为142334人（第七次全国人口普查），在白云区各街道乡镇中居第16位。[1][3] 据街道的一份工作报道，2023年前后辖区常住人口约13万人，其中户籍人口约5万人，外来人口约8万人。[7] 博雅地名网所引的街道概况则写作户籍人口4万多、总人口约8万余人，口径与时间不同。[3]

据百度百科，2011年街道的生产总值为47.35亿元，较上年增长15.4%，财政总收入为11.08亿元，增长4.2%。[1] 南方医科大学等7家市、区级单位坐落于辖区，另有云景花园、恒大御府等大型商住小区。[3] 犀牛角社区在2020年至2022年连续三年入选淘宝村名单。[8]

文化[edit]

南方医科大学与南方医院都在辖区内，院校所在地块的三面是广州大道北、沙太北路和京溪路，步行至地铁3号线京溪南方医院站的直线距离约250米。[9] 地铁3号线北延段穿过辖区，沿线的同和、京溪南方医院、梅花园、燕塘四座车站，曾长期只在马路一侧设出入口。[1][10]

2023年，白云区禁毒办把京溪街定为区的禁毒示范点；辖区内的南方医科大学志愿队、京溪小学合唱团等参与了禁毒宣传。[7]
