南洲街道是广州市海珠区下辖的街道，位于区的南端，辖13个社区，面积12.1平方千米。2020年末第七次人口普查时，常住人口为161415人^[1]。街道的前身是新滘镇，2001年末改设街道；辖区内的沥滘是珠江南岸历史较久的村落，留有卫氏大宗祠等古建筑^[1]^[2]^[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

1986年，今南洲街道所在的地方属海珠区新滘镇。2001年末，新滘镇撤销，改设南洲街道^[1]。博雅地名网说明，街道名称得自境内的南洲路^[2]。

街道下属的社区也在这次改制中成立。新滘镇时期的村，如沥滘、西滘、后滘、池滘、大沙，后来多成为社区名称的来源；2016年，大沙社区又分出珠江御景湾社区^[2]。

地理环境[edit]

街道在海珠区的南部：东邻华洲街道，西接瑞宝街道，北面与江海街道、凤阳街道相连，向南经洛溪大桥和新光大桥通往番禺区。所在地区属亚热带季风气候^[1]。

经济[edit]

2011年，街道内规模以上的企业共122家，全年工业总产值合19.51亿元^[1]。

沥滘[edit]

沥滘是街道中部的古村，旧属番禺县茭塘司。“沥”指珠江下游的河流汊道，“滘”指分支河道，两字合起来指水网密布的地方^[4]。广州有“未有河南，先有沥滘”的俗语^[3]。

据《卫氏族谱》，南宋建炎年间（1127至1130年），卫宁远带家人南下，其次子卫达在沥滘定居，成为当地卫氏的开基之祖；元末明初，罗从善自江西迁来，罗氏也在此落籍。此后卫、罗两族垦殖滩涂，并参与周边洛溪、大沙、后滘等地沙田的开发^[3]^[4]。清代，沥滘卫氏、罗氏中出过3位进士、20多位举人，村中有“五百年祖德，十三代书香”的说法^[3]。

1930年，广州市土地局在沥滘大埗头的岸边立下水界石，沥滘由此划入广州市区；这块界碑现为广州市文物保护单位，存放在沥滘码头公园内^[3]^[4]。2024年的报道称，沥滘现由沥滘、新渔、大沙、芒滘四个自然村组成^[3]。

名胜古迹[edit]

沥滘卫氏大宗祠位于沥滘振兴大街，始建于明万历四十三年（1615年），1993年8月列为广州市文物保护单位，2012年10月列为广东省文物保护单位^[5]^[6]。祠堂坐北朝南，占地1911平方米，由仪门、门楼、前廊、主殿和厢廊等部分组成，前座悬有「百世周宗」横匾^[6]。清乾隆年间的祝寿屏风是祠中的藏品，据报道，贺文由张廷玉撰写、汪由敦书写，用以祝贺卫氏族中百余位老人的寿辰^[3]。

卫国尧故居在沥滘东街七巷6号，建于1915年，是一座三间两廊的砖木结构房屋，面积约80平方米^[2]。

卫国尧（1913至1944年），沥滘村人，早年就读于中山大学附属中学^[2]。
罗明燏（1905至1987年），沥滘村人，1926年毕业于唐山交通大学土木系，曾任广州市政府工程专员^[2]；另有报道称他是华南工学院首任院长^[3]。
罗明佑（1900至1967年），沥滘村人，就读于广州高等师范学校，后入北京大学法学院学习^[2]；报道称他是联华影业的创办人之一^[3]。
