后坪村是福建省宁德市福鼎市磻溪镇下辖的行政村，位于镇西北部，处在霞浦、福鼎、柘荣三县交界处，距磻溪集镇约35公里，距福鼎市区约68公里，地理位置偏僻。村子平均海拔800多米，森林覆盖率达81%，是福鼎市的革命老区基点村。全村辖3个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子处在高山的平坪上，原先取名「阜坪」，后来方言音近而写作今名。[1]

自然景观[edit]

一条鲤鱼溪穿村而过，溪中鱼群色彩斑斓，岸边民居密集。村内有红色历史文化展馆与文昌阁，村口的古木枝叶茂盛。[2]

沿村中长廊一侧的石阶逐级而下，即可抵达后坪大峡谷。峡谷内的瀑布从崖壁飞泻而下，站在对面护栏处能够看到整条瀑布。[2]

据磻溪镇政府网站所载，村子的后坪草场曾长期少为人知，近年借旅游兴起，被称为福建省最大的天然草场。草场延绵数十里，草色随季节变化，山坡上还生长着杜鹃等小灌木。[2]
