后溪村是松罗乡下辖的行政村，1953年由霞浦县划归福安管辖，并改名后溪村。[2]

村名的来历：相传有一条青龙从西向东经过村旁的溪流，卷出一个深潭，潭名龙澳，村因此称龙溪，后改称后溪。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

村子始置于892年，初名龙溪村，当时隶属霞浦。[2]

1953年划归福安，改名后溪村。至1966年，它归松罗公社牛溪大队管辖。1983年10月恢复乡建制时，生产大队改称村；1984年，牛溪大队析出，设后溪村民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月获福建省爱卫办命名，称号为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2022年10月，省农业农村厅认定本村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
