和安村位于坂中畲族乡西北部，距乡政府约6公里，平均海拔280米，是一个纯少数民族村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村土地约7120亩，其中耕地1065亩（水田420亩，农地215亩），茶园310亩，毛竹40亩，山地约3400亩。森林覆盖率为90％。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村子下辖6个自然村，分为11个村民小组，共496户、1827人。主要姓氏为钟、雷、兰、吴。村中大多数房屋仍是土坯房与梁柱结构的瓦房。[1]

经济[edit]

村民种植水稻、茶叶、蔬菜，另产橄榄与李子。大部分村民在市区的电机电器厂打工，或做泥工、木工。[1]

清代中叶起，村里就有人从事木作。后来村民组成大小木作、彩画、雕作和泥作等班组，承建闽东及浙江等地的祠堂、寺庙与传统建筑，至今仍是村民的主要收入来源之一。[1]

文化[edit]

村中延续着畲族传统：畲族对歌、二月二会亲节、乌米饭与端午的糯米粽、除夕的糍粑、畲族婚礼，以及宗祠中的奶娘催罡活动。[1]
