水田村位于交溪西岸，在溪柄镇驻地以西约2.2千米处，海拔15米，村委会驻水田自然村。[1]村名因村子三面环水、便于引水灌田而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国30年（1941年）属福安县第一区（赛岐）溪缠乡，名为水田保。1954年，溪柄十二区设立水田乡；1956年水田高级社创办，1958年8月组建水田大队，村民委员会于1984年成立。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，由省爱卫办确定；2021年12月，水田村被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
