历史沿革[edit]

1993年设立居委会，名称沿用至今。居委会处在镇中心临江一带，建立时间较晚，因此取名新溪。[1]

居民的主要收入来自经商、外出务工和水产养殖。[2]

2018至2020年度，新溪社区被福安市人民政府评为文明社区。[2]
