2020年6月，中共周宁县委政法委员会将村子评为「周宁县第四轮首批平安村」。[1]

2021年，下坑村获福建省委、省政府评为「2018—2020年度文明村」；2022年，获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
