红阳村位于福建省宁德市周宁县泗桥乡南部约3.6公里处，是村委会驻地。村名原为红桃洋，后改为红阳。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年，红桃洋大队自纯池公社划出而设；1981年转为村委会，下辖红阳与红阳上两处自然村。[1][2]

村名来历的传说是，村中曾有一位红桃女成仙，故称红桃洋。后在社教时期改名为红阳。[1][2]

红阳上村是老区基点村。1936年，本村陈天德在村中被捕牺牲；同年，周厚元在政和被捕，牺牲于梨坪。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

居民以祝姓为主，早期由政和杨源迁来。红阳上村居民以周姓为主。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村民以农业为主，农业以水稻、茶叶、毛竹与板栗为主。村民外出务工经商的人数较多。[1][2]

文化[edit]

清光绪年间（1900—1908年），村人祝文治中进士。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有宫观、庙宇、宗祠各一座，宗祠为祝氏宗祠。[1][2]
