山前村位于坑底乡东北部，紧靠寿泰公路，总面积约2.9平方千米[1]。全村共105户345人，分为4个村民小组[1]。2024年1月，本村获评2023年福建省卫生村[1]。

地理环境[edit]

村子坐落在一座大山的南麓，因位于地洋方向的前面而得名「山前」，据博雅地名网载[1]。全村耕地533.35亩，林地4002亩，主要种植水稻和蔬菜，林木以杉木、松木和毛竹为主[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明宣德年间（1426年至1485年），叶氏始祖叶义五由浙江云和迁到寿宁鳌阳的文山里。明末清初，叶春扬从文山里搬来本村定居，此后传承至第十二代[1]。
