铁场村地处南阳镇东北，离寿宁县城约15公里，离镇区约7公里[1][2]。村子处在丘陵中的盆地里，四面环山，海拔612米[1]。

省道202线从村旁通过，村子距南阳高速路口约7公里，交通便利[1]。全村下辖山腰、苏菇洋、铁场、黄龙山4个自然村[1]。
