长新村是屏南县长桥镇下辖的行政村，与长桥村隔一条溪相望。[1] 屏南县人民政府网的不动产公告也写作「长桥镇长新村」。[3] 福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月将长新村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子最初取名“过溪”，因与长桥只隔一条溪流。后设立生产大队时改称“长新”，意为新村。[1]

1957年隶属长桥区长桥乡，1958年并入长桥公社，称长新大队。1984年成立长桥乡长新村委会，1993年起属长桥镇。[2]
