东澳村位于三沙集镇之内，西面临台湾海峡，与北澳岛、四霜列岛隔海相望，背靠三沙主街。「澳」指海边弯曲可以停船的地方，村名因其位于东边而定。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
东澳村在1950至1957年间已见于记载。1958年8月，合作社并为生产大队，当年组建东澳大队。1984年8月，大队改名东澳村并选出村委会；同年又撤销生产大队，另设东澳村民委员会。[1]
概况[edit]
村庄由早年的初级社发展而来，已有70多年历史，至今仍是三沙集镇的一个村。[1]
