水坑村是霞浦县松港街道下辖的行政村，位于县城东北部，距县城中心13公里，地处高山地带。村名来自村尾一条向东流至水磨坑的水沟。[1][2]

地名[edit]

村尾有一条流水坑道，向东流至水磨坑，村因此得名水坑。[1]

地理[edit]

村子东邻佳湖村，南界利洋村，西面连着崇儒乡的洋尾兰村，北面隔着岭头村。村子平均海拔约250米，佳水线公路穿村而过。土地合计6.73平方公里，山地3614亩，水田1061亩，森林覆盖率达74.2%。[2]

村下辖水坑、西坪、后岭、后门垅和菜堂下五个自然村，共12个村民小组，254户，965人。人口较多的姓氏是林姓，林姓有555人，占全村总人口的57.5%。[2]

文化[edit]

境内有承天寺等人文景观。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年公社化时，此地设水坑生产大队。1984年政社分开后，大队改称水坑村，同时产生村民委员会。[1]
