拱桥村是拱桥镇人民政府的驻地，座落在新安溪畔。村名来自旧时黄固溪与拱桥溪的汇流处：那里建有一座亭式石拱桥，1972年改造为公路桥，村子因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1934年这里称拱桥保，先隶属第二（永福）区新安联保和新安乡，后并入永福镇。1950年至1952年后，村子归党泰区的拱桥乡管辖。1958年改称拱桥大队，先后隶属党泰、城郊、拱桥等公社。1984年起改用拱桥村之名，划入拱桥乡。1995年3月，乡改为镇，村子隶属不变。[1]

近年荣誉：福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予拱桥村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2023年1月，被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村辖2个自然村，土地面积12平方千米，耕地783亩，山地17581亩，内含生态公益林7880亩。村内有水电站4座，煤矿企业1家。[1]
