庙前村是庙前镇政府的驻地，也是全镇政治、文化与商贸的中心，村民以江、官（上官）、张、罗、俞等姓为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来：此地原称朗村，因圩市设在村中央的关帝庙前，人们渐渐都到庙前赶集，村名便改为庙前。[1]

宋代此村属表正里，民国时属崇溪乡。1949年初它归新泉区庙前乡管辖，1958年划入新泉公社，成为庙前大队。1984年乡镇建制后，它成为庙前镇庙前村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的孔清祠建于清代，坐南朝北，占地1200多平方米。1929年5月，毛泽东、朱德曾在此接见闽西地方武装的领导人傅柏翠、曾省吾，以及连南党组织的李云贵、俞炳荣。[2]

1928年冬，中共连城临时县委在孔清祠成立，由俞炳荣担任书记，这里也是该委员会最早的驻地。如今孔清祠是福建省党史教育基地。[2]

民俗[edit]

每年正月初九，村里举办大型庙会，有舞龙、古事、船灯、屋角灯等活动。[1]

荣誉[edit]

庙前村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；同年6月，它列入「福建省第四批省级传统村落」名单。[1]
