名称与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，先人自江西迁入，最初在田垅背后一块较平坦的地方建房居住，村名由此而来。[1]

宋代归河源下里，明清归河源里，民国时隶属墩联保。1958年划归莒溪公社，1981年划出另设莒溪乡后埔村委会，1993年撤乡设镇后归莒溪镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，村被福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年8月，村被确定为「连城县第十四届（2018-2020年度）县级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]
