新城村位于中山镇东北部，村内有永安桥和太平岭相公塔两处省级文物保护单位。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

此地的城池修筑时间较晚，因而称为新城。[1]

2024年2月，新城村进入第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇的创建名单。2022年8月，村里以草鱼养殖被龙岩市认定为“一村一品”专业村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

永安桥原称通济桥，清康熙年间重建为木桥，后毁坏；清道光八年（1828年）改建为石桥。2005年，该桥被公布为福建省文物保护单位。[2]

太平岭相公塔位于本村的太平岭自然村，为明嘉靖三十年（1551年）所建的楼阁式砖塔，八角七层，通高17.4米。2018年，该塔列入第九批福建省省级文物保护单位。[3]
