蕉坑村位于官庄畲族乡东北部，与通贤乡汉溪村毗邻，是一个山多田少的山区行政村。[1] 村子是汀江的源头村，同时也是革命基点村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：清初开基时，此地野生了不少芭蕉树，因此得名蕉坑。[1]

1927年，蕉坑设立了村里第一个党支部。[3] 本地在清代属平安里，民国时期为濯坑保。[2] 1958年公社化后归官庄公社的濯坑大队；1968年起改为公社革委会的蕉坑大队革领组。[2] 1988年，本村从濯坑村分离，单独成立了蕉坑村民委员会。[2]

地理环境[edit]

本村山林面积1万余亩，竹林4000多亩，耕地200多亩。[1] 年平均气温18.5℃，年平均降雨量1780毫米，无霜期约270天，气候属亚热带季风型，山地海拔为270至480米。[1]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月，授予本村「2021年福建省卫生村」的称号。[1]
