湖洋镇位于福建省龙岩市上杭县西部，东邻临城镇，西与武平县十方镇相接，离县城约9公里，镇政府驻湖洋村。全镇共8631户，面积约125平方千米，地处县域的西部边缘。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋至清代，这一带都归属于在城里的管辖范围。民国初年归第八区；民国二十五年（1936年）起，改由第一区的信和乡管理。新中国成立后，所在区划的名称依次为信和区、第十一区，1958年组建湖洋公社，1961年至1965年间湖洋与寨背两处各有公社。1984年改设湖洋乡，2013年升格为镇。[1][4]

地理环境[edit]

镇域山岭连绵、丘陵错落，处在武夷山南段的支脉上，地形自东南朝西北逐步降低。北侧的汀江流经境内约15公里，南面的龙嶂山海拔1154.2米，为全镇最高点。气候温暖湿润，年均气温19.9℃，年降水量1600毫米，全年日照约1929.3小时。[1]

经济[edit]

镇内耕地约2.3万亩，林地约13.5万亩，树木多为松、杉、毛竹与柑桔。水力方面，境内中小型水电站共13座，总装机10700千瓦；矿藏以铁矿砂、稀土、高岭土、金和铜矿为主，稀土矿的品位在全县排第一。[1]

农业上，湖洋镇被列为现代农业强镇，华润集团的循环农业、鑫中合的设施农业和观音井的精品农业在此聚集。工业以预制商品混凝土、建材交易和仓储物流为主，另有纺织机械与包装等企业。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

观音井百果园是一处3A级景区，也是龙岩市中小学的研学基地。[1]

龙嶂山奇石林立，杭川赤面石被称作「闽西的日光岩」；汀江带与文峰顶（有「客家金字塔」之称）也列为本镇名胜，政府网站还列有寨背古陶瓷厂。[1]

濑溪村保存着《国际歌》歌词遗址，政府网站称这是省内保存最完整的一处；同村的濑溪渔歌，是杭川十景之一。[1]

荣誉[edit]

省级乡村振兴示范重点镇的称号于2019年授予本镇，省级商务特色镇则是2022年获评的。[1]

2020年12月，福建省爱卫办授予湖洋镇「福建省卫生乡镇」称号。[3]

2024年1月，湖洋镇获「2023年度龙岩市平安乡镇（街道）」称号；2023年1月，又获「2022年度龙岩市平安乡镇（街道）」称号。[3]
