溪西村是才溪镇的行政村，位于镇的西部，博雅地名网称王直、雷钦、邱子明三位建国老将军的故乡在该村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取其地处才溪镇之西，也指位于才溪溪的西向。民国时设溪西保，解放初归第九区的才溪区；1951年归上才乡，1956年入上才农业高级社。[1]

1958年公社化后归才溪公社。1961年从大队中划出，独立为溪西大队；1965年改属上才大队，1980年由上才大队管委会管理。[1]

博雅地名网称，王直、雷钦、邱子明三位建国老将军的故乡都在溪西村。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，溪西村获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2021年2月，村庄入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2021年1月，被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
