溪东村位于才溪镇政府东边，是才溪圩场所在地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取其位于才溪镇东部、又在才溪溪东向的位置。民国时为溪东保，解放初归第九区管辖；1951年归上才乡，1956年入上才农业高级社。[1]

1958年公社化后归才溪公社。1961年从上才大队分出，另设溪东大队；1965年又并入上才大队。1980年起由才溪公社管委会上才大队管委会管理。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，溪东村获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2021年1月，被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
