新生村是福建省龙岩市上杭县古田镇下辖的村，地处古田镇西北一带，紧靠梅花山自然保护区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子原称游鱼坝。1955年，周边几个自然村组织新的高级社，经在场人员同意改称新生高级社，村名由此而来。[4]

明代谢氏到游鱼坝开基，清代设有公局。太平天国时期，此地曾设营，称救世堂。[3]

1929年红四军入闽，傅柏翠组织民众迎接，此地设立苏维埃政府，属北四区。民国时隶上杭县第三区，实行保甲制时归华洋乡。1950年6月后归第七区，1953年划入第十三区的一个乡。1956年组建新生高级社，1958年公社化后编入古田公社新生连，1959年改设大队。1984年改为古田乡新生村民委员会，1986年改为古田镇新生村民委员会。[3]

村中共九个自然村，依次是游鱼坝、营上、营背、桥头、登峰岭、甲口（峡口）、乌龟地、中心坝与邓坑。[3]
