六甲村位于临城镇西南方向，距县城8公里。据博雅地名网，此地原有六条「隔」，隔与甲谐音，村名由此而来。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

党员63人，村两委干部9人，全村共632户，总人口2476人。下辖9个自然村，有19个村民小组。[1]

耕地2463亩，林地约1.5万亩。山地海拔约240米，属中、矮丘陵。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时为连营保，解放初隶信和区古楼乡，1953年改属附城区的六甲乡，1956年改为高级社，此后1957年冬区乡调整，归城郊乡。[2]

1958年3月再度调整区乡，改属六甲乡；同年10月实行公社化，称城郊公社六甲大队。1961年体制划小，改属六甲公社，1965年4月两社合并，仍为城郊公社六甲大队。1968年改为革委会革领组，1980年起由管委会管理。1984年起为城郊乡下属村，1986年改属临城乡，1993年称临城镇六甲村民委员会。[2]
