英明社区是福建省龙岩市上杭县临江镇下辖的社区，位于县城区中心，北以北环路为界。[1][2] 社区名称由解放初翠英保与阳明保合并而来，各取一字为名。[1] 2002年9月起改设英明社区居民委员会。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
英明一带宋端平元年（1234年）已属来苏里，明、清时期属在城里。[3] 民国时设翠英保、阳明保，隶城厢镇；解放初两保并为英明里，归附城区。[3]
此后附城区改为第一区，英明里之名未变。[3] 1953年改为城关镇英明街，公社化后归城关公社英明大队。[3] 1980年改为城关镇英明居民委员会，1986年改为临江镇英明居民委员会，2002年9月起改设英明社区居民委员会。[3]
文化[edit]
2024年12月，英明社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1] 2024年1月，该社区被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1] 2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名英明社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
