升平村位于濯田集镇北部腹地，村辖八个自然村，海拔约350米，与段上村、水头村等相邻。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名原为黄屋墟。相传黄姓最早在此开基，清末曾在黄巫开设墟场，后因交通不便、货运困难，墟场停办，人们仍习惯称之为黄屋墟。清光绪二十三年，拔贡赖杏春从木偶戏剧目《一曲升平》中取「升平」二字为村名，此名沿用至今。[1]

风俗[edit]

每年农历二月二的保苗节源自祈求风调雨顺的醮事，至今仍是当地的节日。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后，此地设濯田区升平乡。1958年设升平管理区；1961年至1964年改为升平公社；1965年并入濯田公社，成为升平大队；1984年大队改为村民委员会，名称沿用至今。[1]
