水塘村地处天马山下，距龙岩中心城区约1公里，村名源于村中一口冬暖夏凉、长年有水外流的水塘。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初此地隶属西陈区曹溪乡，之后并入溪山乡一带，1960年代前后数次设立与合并大队。1984年归曹溪乡，1989年设曹溪镇水塘村委会，2013年改属曹溪街道。[1]

地理[edit]

319国道和龙岩大道分别从村的东西两侧通过，漳龙高速公路龙岩站出口与村子相邻。[2]
