西兴社区位于新罗区西城街道，因地处西兴桥而得名。[1]

社区先后于2021年1月、2023年1月、2024年1月公布的龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」名单中列名，分别对应2020、2022、2023年度。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年，此地改属附城区。1982年，此处设西城办事处下的西兴居委会，至2002年方改名西兴社区居民委员会。[1]
