坪上村位于和平镇西部，村名取自在一块坪地上建村之意，解放前原名炉洋。村西的坪上廊桥据博雅地名网为县级文物保护单位。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村子建在一块坪地上，故名坪上。解放前此地叫炉洋，旧时外乡人在坪上与下炉洋两处冶铁，地名由此而来；解放后改称坪上村。[1][2]

此地在明清两代属昼锦上乡三十八都，民国时归金坑联保。1951年设炉林乡，此前为第六区（肖家坊）所辖，1955年改由第四区（和平）管辖。1958年成立坪上大队，1984年由大队改设村委会。[2][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

坪上廊桥位于村西约300米，据博雅地名网为县级文物保护单位，年代注明为清代；同一页称村中两座古廊桥始建于明代。[1]
