东平镇位于福建省北部南平市的政和县境西北部，是县内一个镇级行政单位，镇政府驻东平村，镇名即由此而来。[1][5]

截至2024年末，东平镇辖12个行政村和2个居委会。[2] 镇境西表村和凤头村至今保存着革命时期的旧址。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

三国吴时此地设东平县，南朝宋时并入建安县，称东平乡；北宋咸平三年（1000年）划归关隶县，称东平里。[1]

明清两代隶属太平乡，1915年太平乡分出东平里，归第五区。[1]

1944年10月撤区并乡，此地设立东平镇。1958年东平镇被撤销，改为苏区人民公社，次年又称东平公社；1984年东平公社改为东平乡，1986年7月东平乡再改设东平镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

境内山地属武夷山东侧的余脉，整体自西向东降低，形成北、西、南三面弧形山地环抱、东部河谷盆地开阔的格局。境内最高处为金峰山，海拔1206米；最低点在新口村，海拔159米。[1]

经济[edit]

博雅地名网的概况称，镇内发展出毛竹、锥栗、茶园和柑桔等产业，特产有东平酱油、高粱酒，茶叶则有白牡丹、碧螺春、白针银毫等品种。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

建松政苏维埃政府旧址位于西表村，原为西表村魏氏祠堂，占地约260平方米，是省级文物保护单位。1934年，闽北苏区在此成立建松政革命委员会，随后设立苏维埃政府。[6][7]

中共政和第一支部旧址位于凤头村，省级重点文物保护单位。1929年，杨则仕在村中杨氏祠堂主持会议，成立中共政和支部，杨任书记。[3][8]
