上村位于高阳乡的高山地带，地处三县（市）交界处，距乡政府20公里，距县城54公里，主村海拔400米。村域内有银矿开采的历史记载，并有成片的山林资源。[1][2]

人口与土地[edit]

全村330户农户，总人口1335人，设7个村民小组。全村土地总面积18632亩，其中林地17472亩，耕地1160亩。[1]

矿产[edit]

明代已在村中开采银矿。解放后地质队多次勘探，鉴定为铅锌矿。[2]

荣誉[edit]

上村进入第五批中国传统村落之列，时间为2019年6月。[1] 东魁杨梅一项，于2024年11月获认定为福建省「一村一品」专业村（2024年度）。[1]

革命历史[edit]

村中的山后自然村是革命老区基点村。[3]
