茶坑村在建溪东岸，离市区15公里左右。村名来自旧时此地多产油茶与茶叶。[1]

全村下设1个自然村，分为4个村民小组。油茶和毛竹是村里主要的经济来源。[1]

沿革[edit]

清朝时此处归演仙上里；民国年间归埂埕乡，名为陈墩茶坑保。1949至1957年间，隶属第八区的茶墩乡。[1]

1958年归东风公社，次年改由大横公社的茶墩大队管辖。1984年仍以茶坑自然村的身份隶属茶墩村委会，1992年大横乡改为大横镇。[1]

村级条目中，本村系1993年5月自茶墩村分出而设，成立村民委员会。镇级沿革的说法不同，另记1994年11月原茶墩村的土地分给陈墩、更古与茶坑三个村。[1][2]
