村尾村位于南山镇西南部，面积为2.0725万亩，共257户、1087人，下辖2个自然村。村名因村委会驻于村尾而得名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据《南平市志·地名志》（1993年）所载，村原名「衢村」，后因衢姓没落，沿用村尾之名。此地在明洪武元年（1368年）属迁乔里，清代沿袭。1941年时隶属第一区南山乡的祭头保；1949年为村尾乡；1958年称村尾大队，1984年改为村尾村村民委员会，1992年归南山镇。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

1948年7月，中共闽浙赣省委机关迁至村尾桃坪村，恢复发展南古瓯革命根据地。村尾闽浙赣省委旧址列入2012年名录，时代记为1948年。[1][3]
