西林村隶属于平和县小溪镇，位于花山溪畔，与县城接壤[1][2]。村址在县城的西面，建村时四周是一片森林，村名由此而来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

明代属清宁里侯山社，清代属琯溪约西山社，民国归琯溪镇西溪保。1950年为第一区西溪乡辖地，1957年改属山格区小溪镇，1958年归山格公社联盟大队，1962年改属城关公社并称西林大队。1984年成立西林村委会；1987年，村随城关乡一起并入小溪镇[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

侯山宫位于西林村，是福建省省级文物保护单位，2009年公布，属古建筑类[3]。侯山宫的管理委员会设有平和龙艺扎制技艺传习所，该技艺于2019年列入省级非遗代表性项目名录[3]。

荣誉[edit]

西林村于2021年11月被评为「2021年福建省卫生村」，评定单位为省爱卫办[1]。
