中西村是漳浦县南浦乡下辖的行政村，与掷石、美林、大坪、南浦、龙桥、兴巷、后坑、马苑等村相邻。村名取自中径、西坑两个自然村的首字。[1]

村庄由中西林场代管，1984年改为村委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元代，中西属南靖县，后隶属程溪区南浦乡。1957年10月划入漳浦县。1959年，省里设立中西林场，场与生产队分开，留下的以农业为主的中西大队仍在。1984年下半年改为中西村委会，此后仍由中西林场代管。[1]
