龙美村位于福建省漳州市漳浦县六鳌镇北部，处在六鳌半岛与沿海陆地相连的地方，东临将军湾海域，北与深土镇大店村相邻。村名原作“龙尾”，后雅化为“龙美”，与深土大店龙山一脉延伸至此而止的地势有关。全村辖龙美、前湖、东洋三个自然村。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
明代，此地归陆鳌守御千户所管辖。清初称龙澳保。康熙元年迁界时居民迁走，康熙十八年复界后，许多村民没有回来。康熙三十九年，龙澳、陆鳌二保合并为龙鳌保。[2]
新中国成立初，这里归第四区管辖；1952年划入第九区，当年设龙美乡。同年八月，此地改由深土公社的六鳌管理区代管，并建起龙美生产大队；1961年9月，转归六鳌公社。[2]
1954年，“坑虎线”公路经过村内，村民出行困难的状况由此改变。[2]
地理环境[edit]
往六鳌方向的路早年尽是散沙，行人走一步退半步；往旧镇则要踏着滩涂，经竹屿过渡。村西隔港湾与竹屿盐场相望，南邻新厝村。[1][2]
人口与产业[edit]
村民以林姓为多，另有王、黄、陈、杨等姓散居于各自然村。[2]
农业和养殖是村里的两大支柱。龙美与东洋两个自然村以番薯、萝卜、大葱等作物为主，前湖自然村除农业外，还有定置网捕鱼。外出务工也成为部分家庭的主要收入。[2]
文化教育[edit]
1991年，县政府为纪念全国优秀少先队员黄淑华牺牲十周年，将龙美小学改名为淑华学校，该校原为完全小学，后属中心校。[2]
