下车村是石榴镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的南部，东邻石榴村，西邻芳林村，南邻温斗村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代为巽石保，属雍正十一年自南靖县划归漳浦的车田十五保之一。民国时期属象牙乡后埔保，新中国初期设下车乡，1958年9月设石榴公社下车大队，即今村的前身。[1]

自然村与姓氏[edit]

村辖下车、寸石（巽石）、后埔3个自然村。下车社多为黄姓聚居，有祠堂一座；寸石、后埔为余姓聚居。[1]

古迹与风俗[edit]

后埔有两座小型教堂。寸石村后有寸石岩画，刻痕古朴，一般认为是商周时代的石刻。[1]
