历史沿革[edit]
民国时期这里隶属浯江乡的草埔保，新中国成立初期属浯江区古锦乡。1956年10月浯江区撤销，改归旧镇区大埔乡。1958年9月组建城关公社的草埔大队。[2]
1984年9月公社撤销后设乡，草埔村归城关乡；1988年5月城关乡与绥安镇合为一体，草埔成为绥安镇的草埔村。村辖草埔、埔仔、长脚营、大林、埔顶张五个自然村，共9个村民小组。[2]
古迹[edit]
草埔石刻碑坊「圣旨牌」位于村北坑内水库旁，刻在一块花岗岩上，为乌头门式单门石坊，据称是清初墓道石坊的刻石。[2]
