下河乡是福建省漳州市云霄县下辖的乡，位于县境西北部，南面与县城相接，乡政府距云霄城关约2公里。乡名来自原乡政府所在的下河村。[1][2]

全乡辖23个村和1个社区，乡政府网站称另有136个自然村。境内多山，水果种植是主要农业，下河杨桃、下河金枣和早熟枇杷是该乡的主要产品。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

乡境北面与平和、诏安两县交界，东面与马铺乡相连，西面与和平乡相望。省道坂云线与县道下大线贯穿全乡。[1]

土地总面积，乡政府网站作150.7平方公里，百度百科作137.34平方千米，两者均未注明统计年份。地势东北高、西南低，以山地丘陵为主，溪河众多。乡内有小（二）型水库10座，森林覆盖率为69.0%。[1][3]

年均气温21.1℃，年均降水量1727毫米，属亚热带季风气候，适宜水稻、水果、茶叶和蔬菜生长。[1]

人口与民族[edit]

乡政府网站称全乡总人口4.9万人；百度百科载2019年末户籍人口为48887人。两者统计口径不同，此处并列。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，此地曾先后设为龙河乡和吉龙乡。1958年成立跃进公社，1984年11月，下河公社改为下河乡。[2][3]

1957年3月，原属平和县的七高磜、梅林、三星、曲溪、金坑、仙石、坡下、龙透等八个建制村并入云霄县下河乡。[2]

1987年，乡内增设坡兜畲族建制村。[2]

2006年，经省人民政府批准，全乡建立乡镇工业集中区。[1]

经济[edit]

乡政府网站称，本乡的水果种植面积达3.8万亩，以下河杨桃、下河金枣、早熟枇杷著称；此外种植水稻、茶叶和蔬菜。[1]

下河金枣历史上又称霞河金枣，明万历时期开始引进，果树需以土柚作砧木、金枣枝条作接穗嫁接，方能保持原有性状。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

乡政府网站列举境内的文物古迹有霞河古城堡、霞美庙古迹、三星高隐寺、宅兜庵和燕翼楼。[1]

陂下碗窑是饶和埔游击队的交通站遗址，在陂下村三斗种自然村内。1933年，饶和埔县委派去地下工作人员，到仙石、陂下、龙透一带动员群众；县委还在陂下村设立「福成昌公司」窑场，作为秘密联络点和中转站，窑场烧制碗杯类器皿，既供县委使用，也变卖以筹措经费。[4]

闽抗第3支队北上抗日出发地遗址位于陂下村。1932年5月组建的中国工农红军闽南独立第3团，1937年10月改称闽南人民抗日义勇军第3支队，部队在此集结后北上抗日。遗址上的支队原办公处现为观音庙。[5]
